About Westavine

Westavine is an independent British editorial archive devoted to the history of casinos and the gambling industry.

We study casinos as institutions: regulated businesses, designed buildings, workplaces and parts of cities. Our scope runs from the Ridotto in seventeenth-century Venice to contemporary resort and surveillance systems. We do not operate games, rank casinos or publish gambling offers.
